About Us

Most unit conversions are needed urgently and briefly. You are mid-recipe, mid-repair or mid-calculation, you need to know what 180 °C is in Fahrenheit, and you need it in about two seconds.

Too many conversion sites treat that moment as an opportunity: interstitial ads, cookie walls, newsletter popups, a "Convert" button that triggers a page reload. The answer arrives last, if at all.

Convertthisnow is built on the opposite principle. The converter is the first thing on the page. It calculates as you type. There is no button to press, no account to create, and nothing between you and the number you came for.

Who runs it

Convertthisnow is operated by DukaMoja Digital, LLC of North Brunswick, New Jersey.

The converters, the articles and the code are produced and maintained by us and every article was written for this site specifically.

How we get the numbers right

Accuracy is the entire product. A conversion site that is fast but wrong is worthless. Our approach:

• Published standards, not folklore. Factors come from the SI definitions maintained by the BIPM, the NIST guides to SI usage, and the international agreements that define imperial units (the international yard and pound agreement of 1959, for instance, which fixes the inch at exactly 25.4 mm).
• One base unit per category. Every unit is defined against a single base. Converting A to B is one multiplication and one division — never a chain of hops that compounds rounding error.
• Exact values where exact values exist. An inch is exactly 25.4 mm. A pound is exactly 0.45359237 kg. We store the exact figure and round only for display.
• Automated testing. Every possible unit pair in every category is converted and converted back as part of our build process. A factor that does not round-trip cleanly fails the build and never reaches the site.

How we make money

The site is currently free and unmonetised. If that changes, this page and our Disclaimer will be updated first.

No advertiser has any say over our content or our conversion factors, and we publish no paid placements disguised as editorial.

If you find an error, please tell us. Send the converter, the units and what you expected to hello@convertthisnow.com, and we will fix it and say so. Reader corrections are the most valuable feedback we get.
